Add a task, answer the two questions, and see where it lands. You can move it if the position doesn’t feel right.

Add a task

Pick something you do regularly, like preparing a report or reviewing a request.

How much it needs me

Think about your knowledge, relationships or authority. Could someone else take it on with a good handover?

Energy it costs me

Think about how you usually feel afterward. A ten-minute task can wear you out.

How to read your grid

Look for one task you would like to change. Could someone take it over? Could you share part of it? Or does it need a better way of getting done?

Some work will still need you, even when it is tiring. Other tasks may be easy to hand over but useful or enjoyable to keep.

Before passing something on, check who has the skills and room to take it on, and what they will need from you. The grid is a starting point for that conversation.

Each answer places the task at a fixed point on its axis, so nothing lands on the middle line. Dragging moves it anywhere, and the editor then shows the nearest answer. The note about how much sits with you appears once you have five or more tasks and more than six in ten are on the right.
