    How we work it out

The ticker adds up everyone’s hourly cost and multiplies it by the meeting time. For yearly and monthly pay it uses the weekly hours you entered to work out an hourly rate: yearly pay divided by (52 × hours per week), monthly pay × 12 divided by (52 × hours per week). Hourly pay is used as entered.

The optional 30% adds a rough allowance for benefits and overhead to yearly and monthly pay.

Five people in a one-hour meeting use five hours of team time. That’s what the combined time figure shows. Everyone counts for the full run, and pausing stops the clock for all of them.

Shorter meetings can give people time back. Whether that saves money depends on how they’re paid and what they do with that time. The sample rates are starting amounts to edit, not salary research, and changing the currency changes the symbol without converting the amounts.
