AgentMail
Creates separate email inboxes that AI assistants and automated workflows can use.
What it is
AgentMail gives an AI assistant or automation its own email address so it can receive and send messages without using a person's main inbox. It is a developer service, so a technical person normally needs to connect it to the workflow and set its permissions.
Ways to use it
Ideas from real executive operations work. Take the ones that fit.
- Give an experimental AI assistant its own inbox instead of access to an executive's email.
- Route messages from a dedicated intake address into a queue for human review.
- Send routine status updates from a clearly named system address.
- Create a separate mailbox for monitoring vendors or receiving documents.
- Keep a complete record of messages sent and received during a controlled pilot.
Our take
AgentMail is a safer starting point than giving an experimental AI assistant access to an executive's real inbox. It makes sense for a narrow, purpose-built workflow with a technical owner, a complete message record, and human approval for consequential actions.
