What it is

Signal is a nonprofit service for private one-to-one and group messages, voice calls, video calls, and file sharing. Its encryption is designed so Signal cannot read the message content while it moves between participants. It has mobile and desktop apps and does not fund the service with advertising or tracking.

Ways to use it

Ideas from real executive operations work. Take the ones that fit.

  • Create a private travel channel for the executive and the person handling live changes.
  • Use a small incident group for urgent coordination while the formal record lives elsewhere.
  • Share a sensitive update directly with the few people who need it.
  • Place a private voice or video call when ordinary carrier calling is unsuitable.
  • Set disappearing-message rules for a narrow conversation after confirming retention requirements.

Our take

Signal is useful for a defined private communication channel, especially during travel or a sensitive live issue. Keep formal approvals, decisions, and work records in a system the appropriate team can retrieve later.
